FAQs

Can I dilute the concentrate to make my own foaming cleanser?

Yes, you can. You are required to follow our recommended dilution guidelines. If you choose not to follow the dilution instructions, it is considered that you have adulterated our product and you could be held legally accountable. We strongly recommend that you obtain the required insurance to guard against any liability.

How to dilute the Cleanser Concentrate?

The manufacturer recommends that Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate is diluted at a ratio of ⅓ concentrate to ⅔ distilled water, mixed in a sterilized empty foaming pump bottle. Exact measurements will differ depending on the size of your empty foaming pump.

How much Cleanser Concentrate and Distilled Water do I need for my empty pump bottle?

Is Prolong Lash safe?

Prolong Lash eyelash extension aftercare products are FDA-approved, vegan-friendly and ophthalmologically tested, proven to be safe for use on the eye area.

What is the shelf life of the diluted concentrate?

The expiry date of the cleanser can be found on the bottle itself. However, the expiry is generally between 18-24 months.

The expiry date printed on the concentrate bottle applies to the diluted concentrate provided that distilled water has been used.

Can I put my own label on the bottles?

Yes, it is strongly advised to include the concentrate ingredients on your bottle.

Can I use a Prolong Lash Retail Label on my diluted concentrate bottles?

Yes, you can! We have a range of predesigned retail labels you can print and use on your bottles.

If you see a design you like but want to change the font or color to match your brand, contact us now and we can change the design for you.

Can I use Prolong Lash’s ingredients labels?

Yes. Printed labels can be purchased directly from Prolong Lash or you can include the ingredients on your own label.

Why must I use distilled water when diluting Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate?

Distilled water is required when diluting our cleanser concentrate because it has removed contaminants and minerals. Using distilled water ensures you are not introducing bacteria, chemicals or minerals into your lash shampoo.

Using regular tap water introduces unwanted and potentially unsafe pathogens into your lash shampoo.

Prolong Lash Cleanser has been FDA-approved and ophthalmologically approved based on the instruction of using distilled water for dilution.

I noticed that the colour of the concentrate cleanser has a yellow tint through it, even after diluting it.

Although discoloration of the concentrate is rare, it can happen from time to time due to the nature of the natural components in the Rose Water ingredient. The product is still completely safe to use, and it does not affect the performance of the product in any way.

Do I need insurance if I dilute the product?

Requirements for this differ from place to place. We strongly recommend that you check with your local council or enforcement agency as to whether you are required to obtain insurance to dilute our product. Prolong Lash recommends that you obtain necessary insurance to guard against any liability.

What is the difference between the foaming pump and the concentrate?

Our Cleanser concentrate needs to be diluted with water before use in order to achieve optimal foaming to be used for cleansing. Our foaming cleanser has already been diluted by the manufacturer and is ready to use directly from the foaming pump.

Is Prolong Lash Cleanser a Lash Shampoo?

What’s in a name? The difference between a lash cleanser and a lash shampoo is simply the wording.

Yes, you can consider Prolong Lash Cleanser a lash shampoo. The purpose of Prolong Lash Cleanser is to safely and effectively clean eyelash extensions. It has been specially formulated for this purpose, just like shampoo is.

This formula is also FDA-approved, so it has passed rigorous testing to prove its efficacy and safety. Don’t let word semantics get you down.

Does the cleanser need to be rinsed off or can it just be wiped off with a tissue/cloth?

Think of our cleanser like you would a hair shampoo. Lather it up for a deep cleanse and thoroughly wash away with fresh water after cleansing, ensuring no residue remains on the lashes or skin.

What is the difference between your cleanser concentrate and your foaming cleanser?

Our Cleanser concentrate needs to be diluted with water before use in order to achieve optimal foaming to be used for cleansing. Our foaming cleanser has already been diluted by the manufacturer and is ready to use directly from the foaming pump.

Is it normal for eyelashes to sting in the shower?

If your lashes are stinging when you’re in the shower, it might be that your lash care routine needs a review. Are you washing your lashes twice a day with a certified lash cleanser? If not, it’s best to use our Cleanser Foaming Pump and eyelash extension cleaning brush to gently but effectively remove any dirt, oil and grime between your natural lashes and the lash extensions.

What is Prolong Lash Oil Free Hydrating Eye Serum used for?

It is a Hyaluronic based serum formulated to deliver intense hydration to the eye area and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The best part is that it is 100% oil free and safe to use when you are wearing eyelash extensions.

Everyday eye creams and serums contain oils that destroy the glue which bonds extensions to the natural lash cause the extensions to fall out prematurely.
