Ophthalmology Safety Study
How it worked
Under ophthalmologist supervision, our cleanser was tested on participants over 30 participants over 14 days, including contact lens wearers and people with sensitive eyes. The diluted cleanser was tested around the eyes (including lash line and lash base, which border the ocular mucous membrane).
The results
No stinging, redness, watering, or burning was reported. Eye health examinations showed no changes to the eye surface or surrounding tissues.
Why it matters
The delicate eye area needs the strictest testing. Our cleanser passed with flying

Skin Compatibility
Dermatological Safety Testing
How it worked
Independent dermatologists applied Prolong Lash Cleanser onto volunteers' skin under controlled conditions. Over repeated applications, they monitored for any redness, dryness, itching, or irritation.
The results
Zero irritation was observed. Dermatologists confirmed the product was well tolerated across all skin types tested, including sensitive skin.

How it worked
In this internationally recognised trial, 71 participants wore small skin patches infused with the cleanser repeatedly over three weeks. After a rest period, they were re-exposed to check for delayed allergic responses.
The results
Not a single participant showed irritation or allergic sensitisation. While participants reacted to the positive control (a known irritant), none reacted to Prolong Lash, proving it is both non-irritating and hypoallergenic.

How it worked
Every batch of Prolong Lash is tested to ISO 17516 standards, the strictest global rules for products used near the eyes and mucous membranes.

Routine testing showed <100 CFU/g bacteria, yeast, or mould = essentially sterile.

How it worked
Harmful microbes such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans,and Aspergillus brasiliensis were deliberately introduced to the cleanser.

Within days, the product neutralised all microbes and returned to below detectable levels.

Naturally Derived Ingredients
Prolong Lash Cleanser is formulated with naturally derived surfactants and upporting ingredients, built around purified water and steam-distilled rose water. The surfactants were carefully chosen for their safety on the delicate eye area, making them both effective and gentle. Every individual ingredient has undergone rigorous safety assessments, ensuring that the final formula is not only clinically tested but also proven suitable for sensitive eyes and the lash line.
Steam-Distilled Rose Water
The delicate scent in our cleanser doesn’t come from added perfumes. It comes from real roses, extracted in the most traditional and natural way possible: steam distillation.
How It’s Made
1. Fresh rose petals are placed in a sealed copper still.
2. Steam passes through the petals, gently lifting out their natural oils and aroma molecules.
3. As the steam cools, it condenses back into water, carrying with it the essence of the roses.
The result is rose water. Nothing more than purified water + the natural water-soluble compounds from rose petals.
There are no added fragrances, no chemicals, and no alcohols. Just petals and water.
Oil-Free
The skin around the eyes is delicate, with meibomian glands that naturally produce oils to protect the tear film and maintain comfort. Adding excess oil from cleansers can disrupt this balance, leaving eyes feeling greasy, heavy, or blurred. By being oil-free, Prolong Lash Cleanser provides a fresh, weightless clean that feels comfortable on the eyes while still being safe for daily use. It also reduces the chance of pore congestion or irritation along the lash line, making it ideal for sensitive clients.
pH Balanced
Prolong Lash Cleanser is pH balanced at 7, which is the natural neutral point on the pH scale. This balance means the cleanser is gentle on both the skin and the eye area, avoiding the stinging or dryness that can happen with products that are too acidic or too alkaline. By sitting at this neutral point, the formula feels comfortable with every use while still effectively cleansing lashes and the lash line.
